FAQ

Q. Is there a job too big or too small?

A. There is no job too small but we do try to stay away from bigger commercial jobs, hotels, and apartments.

Q. How much time is needed to schedule services?

A. The sooner the better but we are usually scheduled at least two weeks out.

Q. Is it cheaper to hang the drywall ourselves?

A. While one may think it would be, usually our price will not change much if at all.

Q. Do you take the scrap sheetrock and haul away the garbage?

A. For smaller jobs like basements, additions, and remodels we do, unless the contractor you are working with provides a dumpster we will use that. For new building we do require that a dumpster is provided.

Q. How far do you travel?

A. We try to stay within a hundred mile radius of Sioux Falls, SD.

Q. What takes longer, hanging or taping and texturing the drywall?

A. The taping and texturing process usually takes longer.

Q. How many coats of mud does it take?

A. First we pre-fill any big gaps. Then, we tape all the joints and put corner bead on. Everything gets a fill coat, followed by a skim coat and sanding and texturing.

Q. Do you have to sand a lot?

A. We try to do as little as possible but there is usually some sanding involved.

Q. How long after texturing should we wait to paint?

A. We suggest waiting 24 hours before painting.

Q. What are the most expensive/cheapest texture options?

A. The most expensive would be smooth and the cheapest would be crowsfoot ceilings and orangepeel walls.
